IMMD II Lines: 20 Dear TeXperts, I am running \TeX 3.0 (under SUN OS 4.1) and try to use the new \language feature in \LaTeX. Therefore I added the lines \language1 \input ghyphen % german hyphenation patterns \language0 after \input hyphen in lplain.tex. (Perhaps not the most elegant solution.) This works fine in most cases, but \TeX appears to switch back to language 0 in every floating environment (footnotes, figures and tables, ...). When explaining overfull \hboxes, \TeX lists \setlanguage1 among others. But probably ``\language1'' would be what I want. Even an explicit ``\language1'', repeated within the floating environment, does not help. What am I doing wrong?
