after several failed attempts through channels...

can someone explain the reason and utilization of the routine(s) contained
within the library /usr/lib/libdbuf.a under RISC Ultrix 4.01? "ar t" reports
the contents to be XMultiBuf.o. the machine is a 5000 with a 2d accelerator.
