I'd like to get the text entered in an ascii format. I found a routine (DWT$LATIN1_STRING) that converts an ascii string to compound string but can't find a routine that goes the other way. My system is currently running Ultrix 4.1 with all of the appropriate Decwindow subsets installed. I have heard that a method is described in a VMS Decwindows Toolkit manual but we don't have such a beast here. Thanks for any help. I'll be glad to post a summary to the net. Thanks again. -Randy Marchany VA Tech Computing Center Blacksburg, VA 24061 INTERNET: marchany@vtserf.cc.vt.edu
