Cupertino CA Lines: 24 If I want to duplicate a high density floppy disk in Windows 3.0, (1.2 Meg 5.25" or 1.44 Meg 3.5"), the following happens: - In standard mode, Win3 needs only 2 passes to duplicate a disk, compared to 3 passed if I use DISKCOPY in DOS, Win3 will tell me that the copying is 41% finished after the first pass; - In 386 Enhanced mode, Win3 needs > 4 passes, I lost count because I ran out of patience before Win3 finished copying. Why does this happen? Is that any magic setting that I can use so that I can duplicate diskettes in only 1 pass? I know Becker Tools include an utlilty that allows high speed disk copying, but can standard Win3 do it? Interesting fact, the same phenomenon happens in Desqview 386, ie., if I DOS tools in Desqview to duplicate diskettes, it also requires > 4 passes .... Why?
