I am running xemacs version 18.57.2 (I just checked it) on a 
Sun 4 under X11R4 (I think that covers all bases :-).

What I want to do is change the pointer shape -- it is currently
an arrow, and I want to make it an I-beam cursor.  I tried
setting the resource xemacs*pointerShape in my defaults file
(I use xrdb), but it didn't seem to work.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
