It looks like a X11R3 server is being used with a X11R4 client. We tried this test on our R3 X terminals and got the same response. The problem appears to be the X11R4 convertors intolerance of extra whitespace. We have run into this problem on several occasions. Maybe someone could shed some light on this... Jeff
