not entirely obvious; there is an XView version of cmdtool, I think.)

I think it's impossible.  As I recall, when you mix SunView and X
applications in OW, all SunView windows are visually in front of all X
windows.

(Think of it as a good reason to get X versions of your SunView apps :-)
