LIGHT FUZE. 24-Jan-1991 1220" The Bagdhad Railway, as it was once known, was originally built by German Interests prior to WWI. It made the UK and France a tad grumpy, at the time, as RR's were highly regarded as spreaders of commerce & influence. As noted it would have provided an all rail route (bar the Bosporus) from Germany to Bagdhad & beyond. The media have reported that the RR IS an object of coalition attack, as a supply route to the Kuwait theatre. (probably not necessary in THIS group, but: this is NOT the RR that Lawrence of Arabia was continually blowing up, during WWI...) thanks dave pierson Digital Equipment Corporation
