The insignia is of a hawk or owl flying through mountains beaming destruction down below. The crew of the 416th TFS of the 37th TFW call themselves "Ghost Riders." The insignia is of a faceless, caped, black being carrying a lightning bolt and riding a winged horse, set on a delta in the middle of a night sky (stars and moon). Both of these outfits fly the F-117. Reference: _Lockheed F-117 Stealth Fighter_ by Jay Miller (c) 1990 Aerofax, Inc. (Book includes photos of shoulder patches of crewmen) PS Hope this gets out.
