For example, from Strongs (KJV) 907 baptizo -- Mark 7:4 -- except they wash they eat not Luke 11:38 -- he had not first washed before dinner 909 baptismos -- Mark 7:4 -- received to hold as the washing of cups Mark 7:8 -- of men as the washing of pots and cups Heb. 9:10 -- in meats and drinks and divers washings 911 bapto -- Luke 16:24 -- that he may dip the tip of his finger John 13:26 -- give a sop when I have dipped it Rev. 19:13 -- with a vesture dipped in blood As for most who have a Reformed background, I find the equating of baptimos in Heb. 9:10 with "sprinklings" is particularly significant. -- Mark Smotherman, Comp.
