Has anybody out there ever done any sucessful metal-plating, or tried and failed? If so, how did you do it, and/or what didn't work? I tried an electroplating kit I got from J.C. Whitney. It didn't work very well - not sure whether it was me or the kit. I'm looking for suggestions and/or sources. I could always ship my stuff out to be professionally done (a certain shop in Pittsburgh does nice work), but I'd really like to be able to do it myself.
