I would bet that the program requires systems 5.0 to be run and is a format only system 5 can use. ShrConvert can display $c1 graphics screens and is about the best choice of the PD programs. Soundsith requires at 768k of memory and this without the MIDI tools present, I use version .7 since it does not require the MIDI tools and I do not like disabling all of my DA and inits just to get the thing to boot on my 1.25Meg GS. You will require two things if you wish to continue using your GS productively, System 5.0.4 (available from ftp sites they say) and much more memory. I would suggest getting a third party card (Harris is my first choice, Chinnook second), My Apple card is fully loaded and I still need more memory. An extra 512k will get you through til you can afford a larger card, but it will largely be useless in the future. Hope this helps, and see you on comp.sys.apple2.
