I would look it up except my reference books are elsewhere at the moment.) 512KB is certainly considered skimpy for IIGS desktop applications, some of which absolutely require at least 1.25MB. Of course, the use of desk accessories further reduces the amount of memory available for an application. You should also be aware that many public and even commercial software products such as desk accessories and "init" files, even fonts, have been known to interfere with the operation of applications. In theory, if they are correctly implemented, they should peacefully coexist, but experience has shown that you should not rely on that. So it is often worthwhile in tracking down such problems to remove or deactivate all add-on software, reboot, and see if the problems persist.
