Then 1400 pounds ~= 1037 US dollars. Wednesdays close had 1 pound at $1.992. Thursday was slight lower. I wouldn't quibble over 8/10th of a cent. I think it also crossed the $2.00 point earlier in the week. As of Wednesday 1400 pounds was equal to $2797.20 American. You'd better believe it.
