For use in anti-aliasing, I want to find the colour in a palette which
most closely approximates a given RGB combination.

At the moment, I find the palette colour with the smallest sum of
absolute difference in Red, Green and Blue components.  Does this
sound like the best (ie. visually accurate) method?
