I don't read this newsgroup, so please email an advice direct to me. I'll summarise, of course. My question is: Is there a way to open more than 20 files in Turbo C++ V1.0? The manuals don't tell me how (as far as I can tell :-)). They just say that HANDLE_MAX (defined to be 20) is the maximum. With 5 handles taken by standard io, etc, there's only 15 left :-(. I can't believe that's all I can have. Yes, my config.sys does have a line like FILES=50. Any help appreciated. Any help _soon_ will be very much appreciated. Thanks, Mark Moir. -- +----------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Email: Mark.Moir@bbs.actrix.gen.nz Phone: +64 4 722755 ==============================================================================
