Once your signature is available in machine readable form, it is meaningless, as there is no way of telling if it is a forgery or not. If someone else uses the same file to sign a fake memo as you do to sign real ones, how do you tell? Better yet, how is anyone else supposed to know? The only reason to sign something is to prove that it is authentic. They don't even need to have the file you use.
