   A couple of days ago somebody posted a summary of e-mail responses
which included the statement from me that there was an IEEE Smalltalk
standard.  I have since been corrected, and I find that although there
was an attempt to draft such a standard it did not get off the ground
and no such standard exists (to my knowledge).   Peter Deutsch
corrected me on this (thanks) and he certainly should know better than
I.
