Message-ID: <9000@sail.LABS.TEK.COM> Date: 19 Feb 91 19:12:53 GMT Sender: mhorne@sail.LABS.TEK.COM Reply-To: mhorne@sail.LABS.TEK.COM (Mike Horne) Organization: Tektronix, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Lines: 19 Sender: Before I start: 1) I don't know if this is the proper newsgroup to post this question to, and; 2) I have no information (at this time) about the requirements for uucp domain name registration. That said, I'm trying to find out what I need to do to register a new domain so that it appears in the appropriate places in the uucp maps (or other). In short, I have hosts I can use for mail/news forwarding via uucp (and eventually dial-up SLIP), but I'd like to establish a new domain independent of the domains of the machines I'll be forwarding to. I'd like to be able to send mail from `anywhere' to, for example, mhorne@hss.com. Could some kind soul fill me on what I need to do, or at least point me in the proper direction (i.e. who to contact, etc)? Thanks in advance! Mike Horne mhorne@sail.labs.tek.com
