Keywords: MS-DOS,Minix Message-ID: <1991Feb16.024033.13218@mlb.semi.harris.com> Date: 16 Feb 91 02:40:33 GMT Sender: news@mlb.semi.harris.com Organization: Harris Semiconductor, Melbourne FL Lines: 11 Nntp-Posting-Host: eltanin.rtp.semi.harris.com I am considering buying the 80x86 version of Minix and wondered: Has anyone been able to get a MS-DOS application to run under a COMMAND.COM process under Minix? I assume this is possible because commercial 80x86 Unix versions allow this. Would this be a huge undertaking or within the capability of a casual programmer? Minix sounds like a great vehicle to learn operating system theory, and I thought this would be a good project. Am I dreaming??? -- Kevin Routh (routh@rtp.semi.harris.com) Harris Corporation, Durham, NC (919) 361-1622
