A lot of MINIX stuff has to be REMOVED (the 'MINIX' port handles deficiencies of an early MINIX version, like the open3 stuff etc). C.v.W. P.S. The MINIX tar is unusuable since you cannot specify a blocking factor. Try to write the tar archive to a disk with 1K-sectors and you know what I mean. I got rid of setting up a pipe with a (modified) dd all the time. C.v.W.
