I am posting this because it may be of general interest.

The Stirling Group have a family of software development tools which exist
in both Windows and OS/2 PM versions.  These all have a generic name of the
form XxxSHIELD, where Xxx is a tool-specific prefix.  The Stirling Group
have trademarked the upper-case SHIELD.

They have an extremely interesting journal/log tool named LogSHIELD.

For the record, other tools include:

     TbxSHIELD     - a toolbox for building presentation widgets
     DbxSHIELD     - an inference engine to generate code for dialog boxes
     InstallSHIELD - a pretty neat toolkit for building elegant application
                     installation programs
     DemoSHIELD    - a toolkit for building automatic demos around a
                     running application
     MemSHIELD     - a common memory management library for Windows and OS/2 PM

These tools all cost in the $300-$800 dollar range, with OS/2 versions
running a couple of hundred more than the Windows version.  We are using
only Tbx, Dbx, and Install at the moment, and only under OS/2.

They have a full-page add in the latest Microsoft Systems Journal, and will
send a demo disk on request.
