I have a Sony opto-magnetic drive (Pinnacle REO-650) on a Sun UNIX computer. Also at this site we have the same drives on VMS machines. I would like to be able to take a disk that was written on one of the VMS machines, pop it in the drive on my UNIX machine and get at the files. I realize that I could not just mount the disk because the file-systems would be different. Has anyone ever tackled this problem? Where would I start? Any ideas would be appreciated.
