Well, let's see - last I heard, the Exabyte and Wangtek DAT do synchronous. I would probably have to hook up the Ancot to be sure though. If you are looking for a really good 1/2" tape, try the HP88780A or S - we ran these here and were sorry we had to return the evaluation units.
