I am currently working on moving certain primitives (fork and join) to silicon.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can furnish realtime statistics regarding
operating system performance as it relates to process-creation using fork and 
join system calls.  No restrictions on operating systems or machines, though 
Unix is preferable.
