The "Reminder" program from _The Store_ comes with a new egrep & fgrep:

-rwxr-xr-x  1 car     users     10044 Jan 12  1987 egrep
-rwxr-xr-x  1 car     users      4300 Jan 12  1987 fgrep

Why are there new versions?

Are these newer than the ones that came with my 3.5 foundation set?:

-rwxr-xr-x  1 bin     bin       10056 Nov  3  1988 /usr/bin/egrep
-rwxr-xr-x  1 bin     bin        4312 Jan  1  1970 /bin/fgrep

A 'dump -f' of the objects in question shows that the versions from the
"Reminder" package are older than what I already have on my system.

Any info would be appreciated.
