Ah, so this could be done by attaching an extra menu item like "Make permanent icon" to the "Icons" menu of the WB. You then would have to first invoke WB with "Window / Show / All Files", then click on the desired file (on its default icon), and call "Make permanent icon" from the menu. This would create a real .info file, initially looking like the default icon and carrying already the correct file type. You then would have to manually invoke "Information" from the menu to set the tool types (or calling this could be automatically included in the previous menu call). As last action you would have to invoke manually IconEdit to give the icon the shape you wish. Shouldn't be any difficult.
