I have been trying to upload some files on my roommates Amiga to my account on a UNIX machine. I have been using Kermit protocols and I have been unsuccessful. This is what happens. I log onto my UNIX account and set up Kermit. When I ask it to receive, the system responds with 'shell out and execute the SEND command' or something like that. When I do the send command, it replies 'NAK error in block 0' Eventually there are so many errors that the program must abort. Perhaps I am not using the software correctly. I always use the menu commands. Maybe there is a command I must type in after I 'shell out'? Actually, my problems would be solved if there were some program that would convert MacPaint files to IFF format. Where could I get this? Any help is appreciated.
