I'm sure this has been asked in the past, so please forgive me, but
I'm looking for tools which will convert IFF images to a format usable
under X-windows (such as xbm files, etc).  Ideally, the tool would be
able to trim off some bitplanes, as I need to display images on X
terminals with only enough memory for 4 planes.

Please respond by email.  Any info would be appreciated.
