It has been my experience that the problems only crop up when drives of different speeds are used, thus the reason that my Seagates have never crashed, and you are having so many dificulties. If you have or get any additional info on problems with this combination or if you find any solution, please let me know. I am running out of storage and would like to add a big drive to me system i.e. a Wren.
