Trouble is, plenty of useful stuff didn't get posted on c.b.a.s., or much more recent versions are present on atari.archive@umich. I hope it is possible to resolve the security issue soon so that people with mail-only access are not cut off forever. BitFTP is at best a temporary solution IMHO. Surely it can't be too difficult to rig up a "hacker-proof" mailer quota system.
