Fairfax, Va. Lines: 27 I recently acquired a used Atari, SH204 hard drive, which I'm having problems with. I was wondering if anyone has had similar problems, or perhaps if anyone knows right off what may be causing the problem. Occasionally, uppon boot-up, my SH205 will not recognize the 204 (the SH205 is physical unit 0, the SH204 unit 1). I normally give unit 0 a good head start on power-up (until the busy light flashes), and wait a good amount of time (10-15 seconds) for the 204 to get up to speed. Still, sometimes the 204 isn't recognized. Next, (again, occasionally) the SH204 will spontaniously fail. It will just all-of-a-sudden, out of the blue, stop working. TOS can't access it (and yes, it IS still on...sheesh! :) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
