One of the options under eXtended CMOS setup lets me set a "scratch RAM" option. The manual says the following: "Scratch RAM Option lets you choose from (1) saving the user definable drive type 47, or (2) use the stack area in the BIOS to support programs like OS/2 ...." Chosing option 2 reduces available base memory by 1Kb. Option 1 uses 100 bytes of the BIOS stack area (no reduction in base memory). Might it be that Phoenix implements 'option 2' to support OS/2 by default? Hope this puts you on the right track. Arthur Sybrandy
