Conner will be introducing the CP-3500 (SCSI version) and the CP-3504 (IDE version) this summer. However, my contact in Conner marketing says that they haven't nailed down the exact pricing yet and isn't hinting where it might fall. They are aware of the market so will be realistic. Its general specs are: 510Mb formatted, 12ms avg, 256kb look ahead buffer, 4.5W (!), 2.3 Lbs. Contact your local Anthem (800-359-3502) or Avnet (800-531-3387) distributer to get on the waiting list. Brochures are already available. In comparison, the CP3200 (200 meg) SCSI version lists currently for $1135, but deals can be found in the $700-800 range or maybe better if you look hard. The cost to the dealers was JUST reduced, probably in preparation for the CP-3500 intro. Conner may also put out a 300+ meg depopulated version of the 3500 for the in-between market. Hope that helps. -- Al Weiss alz@tc.fluke.com 206-356-5252 John Fluke Mfg. Co., Inc. MS-269 PO Box 9090 Everett, WA 98206-9090 USA
