The point of the SELECT command is to select a group of files from a list which (usually) contains more than the ones you want for a command to process. If you don't need to select a particular group of files, why do you need the SELECT command at all? Just use the command on your (*.something) files and you'll get the same effect as selecting them all. I would have thought that was obvious - maybe you've been using 4DOS too much and forgot how the basic commands work.... :-) -- Mark A.
