When we print a pure black area on a page, sometimes the printer will precede the area with a smudge that almost resembles an ink bleed (which would be impossible; this is not an inkjet...) The "blotch" is not pure black and it does not have sharp edges, and it never preceeds normal text; only pure-black blocks that are at least 1/2 high. I've cleaned the solenoid wire recently with a q-tip and alcohol... Is there something else I can try and check before we have to pay for a costly repair visit? Any answers appreciated.
