Every other computer expert in the world understood the need. The memory size was a problem, but there is no need for "expansion" slots in a Macintosh. With three different external network plugs plus a variety of other connectors, any device that you could want can easily be added. Why should the toaster buyers pay for the slots, power supply, and space that they will never use?
