Perhaps anyone can help me. I want to backup our Mac's to the streamer tapes or exabytes of our SUN unix network. I don't want to ftp all the files from Mac to a disk of a SUN. I want to dump directly to streamer. I've the following instrumentation: Macintosh's connected through LocalTalk. SUN's connected through ethernet. PC's with Ethernet card's running PC-NFS and Lifeline. The LocalTalk Net and the Ethernet are connected by the use of a Ungermann & Bass AccessOne mactalk card, which seems to be nearly the same, as a FastPath. I'm running CAP and UAB software on a SUN to access the LocalTalk printers from unix. Is there any software which allows me to do the same, as I do with PC-NFS and LifeLine (tar from PC to SUN-tape). I'm looking for any software, public domain, shareware, commercial etc. The best perhaps would be a Mac-NFS. Thanks in advance. Please e-mail -f possible, because I'm not reading this group normally. __//_ ./_//_/. dieter braun
