However, we shall admit that the Mac is not perfect (and no other computer is perfect either). It's always difficult to admit, specially when NeXT or Amiga owners come and tell you "yeah, but my box does it all" because we don't want to look like dumbs for buying a Mac. I didn't realize that the NeXT discussion had degenerated that much. (for those who weren't following the debate, it didn't) The Mac IS a great computer. It's main feature is (IMHO) "ease of use". But often things can be improved, for example: * Background formatting of disks * Variable size heaps under MultiFinder * The possibility to change the printer in the Print dialog box without leaving it to go to the chooser (as NeXT does). * ... Any computer can always be improved. It's just some of them are starting to show their age(early 80's technology). BTW, your wish list can be fulfilled if you buy a NeXT. Hey everyone, it's only been 2 years since the SE/30 was released. I found an article about it in a March 1989 issue of MacWorld that I have at home. Does anyone remember how much it costs?(anyone, anyone) $5000. Let's here it again folks. The NeXT is too damn expensive! -Mike
