Every once and a while when a the disk is being accessed, it will spin down to a stop, chirp, and then start up again as if nothing happened. Is this normal behaivor, or is indicative of a problem? The problem occurs most often when I am reading man pages from Terminal, but it has also happened during boot up an in other applications. Someone on the net recently mentioned an extended warranty program for ODs with serial numbers starting with AAD or ADD. Since mine is one of these, I wonder if the 'problem' I am experiencing is covered. If not I will probably bring the unit back to Businessland. Does anyone know more about the extended warranty program? Thanx Peter Marinac,,,39clocks@violet.berkeley.edu
