We run NetWare 2.15C on a 386 server. Until recently all our network cards were G/Net 8-bit. Now in the process of upgrading to ethernet cards which are IMC 8-bit in workstations and 16-bit in the server. Nothing strange about any of that. We have two segments of G/Net and one of ethernet at the moment due to a delay in supply of IMC cards. (We need IMC to run on 75ohm coax). On any workstation with an IMC card I cannot (a) change Default Account Balance/Restrictions or (b) Account Restrictions for any user (within SYSCON). I get a Please Wait which times out to Network Error on Server xxxxx..Abort, Retry? Sometimes a workstation running ethernet will come up with the network error, but ONLY if sitting logged in at the DOS prompt. A workstation running something - say fconsole - will go forever on stats or connect information. OK on a workstation running G/Net. No other functions are a problem. Is there something wrong in my workstation shell? Any other ideas? -- David Cooper | Phone :+61 03 260598 Computing Services | Fax :+61 03 263664 University of Tasmania at Launceston | dcooper@pieman.compserv.utas.edu.au --------------------------------------------------------------------------
