I have also experienced the "lost connection" problem while doing an
ncopy.  Observations:  It only occurs when copying between the two
SCSI disks on our 386 clone file server.  The system utilization goes
way, way up and in some cases, the workstation doing the copying will
get an "error reading from network" halt.

If I copy from one f/server to another the problem does not occur.

Maybe the clone can't handle the internal traffic this creates?
