An EPS file with a TIFF header ... arghhh ... what other "monstrosity" will they think of next? For my edification, what applications generate such a beast? I went through the process of scanning (someone elses PC & scanner), translating to MacPaint (GCP under windows), to get it onto a Mac (ftp to a unix host, Kermit to a mac) so that it could be converted to EPS, (we only have illustrator on the graphics dept Mac) get it back onto my PC, try & import into w4w, get some "bogus" (from an end user standpoint) error message, and now I hear that there is no way to get it to work anyway because of some TIFF header !?!?!?!?! One may ask why not use the scanner's TIFF file directly ... at this point I would ask the same question, but I'm printing on a PS printer, so I would rather have a small inclusion, not a large bitmap ... besides, the bitmap would require major cleaning for it to be usable ... it's amazing what autotracing can do ! >BTW, I would like a copy as well if Microsoft is still listening.
