Does anyone have experience with using the WM_PARENTNOTIFY message?  It is
purported to return the window handle and ID of the child window in lParam,
but they don't look valid.  Actually, they both *change* as I keep clicking
the control.  The control is a checkbox in a dialog box ... I am wanting
to be informed when certain checkboxes are changed (immediatly).

If you've got a hint, let me know.
