Lines: 16 There has been some confusion as to what is embodied in the proposed X Color Management System. The primary purpose to the proposal is to introduce the concept of device-independent (CIE) color in X. At the request of consortium reviewers at an early review, the proposal provides for color space extensibility. Both device-independent color spaces (such as Kodak's PhotoYCC) and device-dependent color spaces (such as CMY and CMYK) can be easily added.
