I'd like some help for a project class I'm taking. I want to do something with direct video, but I don't know anything about using it. What I'd like to do is be able to put a video image, realtime if possible, into a window, or on a monitor screen, or into a bitmap/pixmap. I have access to Xwindows, Xterm, and Motif if that helps. I believe the monitors are RGB. There is also an RS-232 port and an HPIB port, or I can access A/Ds if need be. Does anyone know of any hardware to do these conversions? I need to go from an RF signal (or possibly a direct off-chip video) to the monitor. Are there any neat conversion routines I should know about? Is this even possible? Any other advice or details would be greatly appreciated, so please email me what you know. ************> russellp@cae.wisc.edu <******************************* | | Russ Perry Jr (currently reachable at:) "Feed my brain with your so |||| 5970 Scott St 104 S Randall Ave called standards; who says || / Omro WI 54963 Madison WI 53715 that I ain't right?"--Metallica /
