In the UK we use a strange standard (base station transmits at about 1.8 MHz, handset at about 47 MHz) which seems to result in rather mushy performance. In particular, I get a nasty buzz on receive almost anywhere, even 1ft away from the transmitting antenna! Any suggestions on tweaks and tips? I have already tried a VERY long wire aerial instead of the standard one, which I have routed all around the house so I'm never far from the base station signal... Incidentally my phone is the Betacom Venture XT2. Tim
