The tube in our Siemens D500 x-ray spectrometer suffered an anode meltdown, but apparently can be rebuilt. The tube is Siemens 7KP5120 8EB rated at 60 kV and 1.5 kW. Siemens will rebuild the tube, but not at a price we can afford. Any leads would be appreciated.
