Below is the address and a short message of the Sheich-ol-Islam of Azerbaijan,
 A. Pasha-zade.

"Soviet Muslims want to re-establish their links with the muslim world.
They have been isolated for seventy years from the world and even from
eachother. Sceich-ol-Islam of Azerbaijan would like to hear from you.
He sees muslims in US and other countries as their eyes, ears and mouths
in the West. Your "salam", good wishes and support are just the things they
would like to hear.

He is also willing to send "un-corrupted" news reports in English to those
who write them. Any kind of Islamic book, money support are also wellcome.
Money will be used to develop the Medrese [Islamic School] in Baku and other
parts of Azerbaijan."
