I put the hooks into inews. It renames conflicting headers like "Newsgroups" and "Message-id" by prepending "X-Original-" to them. If the message is moderated, I add a "X-Moderated-Address" header. I also put the newsgroup(s) in the subject to make it easier to see. This posting will probably show up in lbl.outbound with a subject of "[alt.hackers] The big brother newsgroup".
